Question

Hi, I have a 1990 Chevy Astro, 4.3liter with 91,000 miles. It failed to start after being driven to the mall. There were no indicator lights showing when it was last running. When I switch on the igition key, all lights/buzzers appear to function properly. When I turn the car to crank, the all the interior lights go dim, the radio goes our, and there is no sound at all from the starter. I have checked the engine diagnostic code and I read 12(diagnotics working no other problems reported). I have verified the starter and solinode are functioning properly as well as the battery. Any suggestions?

You may have loose or dirty connections, bad battery cables, or a bad ground. The starter may also drain too much current when hot.
