Question
On our 1991 Cherokee, one of the power windows tended to make a ratcheting noise when all the way down and you continued to hold the switch on. Yesterday it got stuck and won't come back up. I took apart the door and can see that nothing actually fell off the track, and can get it back up if I "help" the glass while doing the switch. I thought I could fix the situation by placing a block of wood in the bottom of the door to keep the glass from going too far, but now it makes that awful noise when it hits the bottom again.Is there some sort of "end-of-the-line" sensor that is not tripping, and if so, how do I troubleshoot it?Thanks.Nate
