Question hi, I run a busy service station in Palmdale Ca I have been getting alot of recessed pintles in fuel injectors latly in many GM cars. most of the history of the services,I found out, comes from the local chevy dealers. I talked to some of the tune up techs and found out they're selling FI services on multech injectors. I get a fuel trim of 3 and a block learn of 96 and the cars surge at all engine speeds w/o a load. are you having any problems with this or could it be that our area has some bad gas floating around? It seems the problem is focused of GM and Geo lines. write back n say hey. JC

Reply I'm sure you know General Motors does not recommend fuel injection cleanings on their vehicles equipped with Multech injectors. If your local Chevrolet dealer is performing cleanings on these vehicles as you mentioned this is most likely the cause of your rash of injector failures. Angelo Silverado Auto Service
