Question

I have an 89 Dodge Aries with a 2.5 liter engine. My problem is a leak between the front seal and the oil pan. I have cleaned and checked the oil pan. It seems to be in good condition. I've followed the dealer's instructions on how to replace the seal and fix the oil leak. I have tried 3 kinds of commercial oil leak sealer (including Permatex Ultra Gray). Do you have any other suggestions?

You may want to inspect the front crank shaft seal as this is a common problem for oil leaks at the front of the engine. It is not necessary to remove the oil pan to replace the crank shaft seal.
