Question

Hello! I have a 1989 Buick Century, 3.3L V6, w/ air. I have two questions. The first, when starting the car in cold weather it will run rough and when put into gear stall. As long as I keep the engine speed a little higher, it will continue to run. It will run fine while moving, but when stopping at lights or signs will stall. The problem seems to be intermittent. It will run fine occasionally. The second question is about the cruise control. When I purchased the car a year ago, it worked fine, then bean to work only sometimes and now won't work at all. The fuse is fine (it hasthe same feed as the radio). There does not appear to be any vaccuum leaks either. Thanks for your help.

1. Sounds like a defective idle air control valve. Have a diagnostic check performed at a competent repair facility.
2. Inspect for correct adjustments of brake switches. If all appears OK have a diagnostic check done by a competent repair facility. Other than the brake pedal switches the on/off lever and switches are the most common failures.
