Question

I have a '91 Ford Escort, 1.8L engine, that stalls frequently and has poor acceleration. When the oxygen sensor is disconnected, the car does not stall as often but engine performance decreases. I replaced the oxygen sensor, but it did not cure the problem. Other parts recently replaced include: spark plugs, cap & rotor, plug wires, and the fuel filter. Ignition timing checked good. Any suggestions?

I would recommend having a diagnostic check performed on this vehicle.
