Question

1988 dodge caravan 3.0 l v6 automatic... when outside air temp. is at around 60f and above, when engine gets hot if you stop at a light or sign or just slow down, when you step on accelerator to go it chugs badly and sometimes stalls. also if you keep rpms up by pressing accelerator and using left foot on brake when you stop, it runs fine. sometime on a real hot day it will act up at highway speed. no codes come up with ignition test. help!

I would suggest a computer scope and scan. There are service bulletins pertaining to the EGR circuit causing hesitations and stalls on this vehicle. Have a thorough analysis done by a competent repair facility. They will inspect items such as idle air control valve, throttle position sensor, fuel pressure, and other possible causes.
